Apple iPad Review

apple-ipad-touchOn Wednesday evening, Apple has set the partial years of speculation to an end, and finally unveiled the long-awaited tablet. The name reads iPad and, in the words of company CEO and founder Steve Jobs this device is no less than a kind of evolution. And it has the ability to close the gap between two devices that dominate our digital life, computers and smartphones.

The Apple iPad weighs less than 750 grams and consists primarily of a multi-touch display with a screen diagonal of 9.7 inches. The resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels at 132 pixels per inch, which is significantly above that of the iPhone (480 x 320, 163 PPI). The iPad is operated via the touch screen with your fingers. Inside the device, Apple runs its own processor, and the device gets 16, 32 or 64 gigabytes of storage space.

Getting connected to the Internet is quite easy. The iPad features 2 ways with which one can get connected.  The first one is the WLAN 802.11 a/b/g  wireless  and the other one is the 3G. The 3G models will be sold without a SIM lock in the U.S., however, Apple has found a partner with AT&T, allowing a iPad owner to sign a contract with AT&T. Under the contract the user can opt for the cheapest plan which is 250MB per month of data for $14.99. A $29.99/month plan gets you unlimited data.
