BMW X1 Review

bmw_x1No one sells more four-wheel models in the premium segment as the BMW. Every fifth car with a kidney at the Grill is an X model, and the lion’s share of the sale are SUVs. The X5 since its launch has more than 900,000 buyers, the X3 has almost 550,000 sales figure, and the new X6 to just over 53,000. Well I just hope that the little X1 perpetuate the success story.

The car has an advantage in any case and it comes at just the right time. With large SUV (gas guzzlers) sales dipping  to a new low, there was a need to bring in a SUV which has a rear wheel drive and isn’t thirsty at all.

Finally here comes a vehicle from BMW which has the benefits of an SUV with an acceptable fit for consumption and city size. And its named X1. BMW expects to get about 70 percent of the X1-buyer for a four-wheel model who wants to save money and fuel and want a SUV with rear-wheel drive.

Building on the new generation 3 Series, the BMW X1 is the first crossover smaller than the crossover as the X3 or the various Tiguan, GLK and Q5. The BMW X1 is a small sport utility or a more decidedly Crossover.

The thing that arouses more curiosity amongst fans is the size of the BMW X1. The BMW X1 measures 4.45 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2.76 meters. That means the X1 measure 13 cm less than the BMW X3.

BMW X1 Features:

The transmission of the X1 is integral to each version, the suspension is MacPherson strut front and multilink at the rear. The xDrive, as usual, automatically distributes torque between front and rear. Excellent also the presence of the hydraulic steering, always ready and that helps make the X1 a truly enjoyable car to drive and more like a coupe than an SUV.

Engine Specifications:

The new BMW X1 gets many engine options . The xDrive18i and xDrive 18d, are both 4-cylinder engines, the first and second gasoline, xDrive20d, is the 2-liter turbodiesel with 177 horsepower. Next in the line is the xDrive23d, namely a 4-cylinder biturbo diesel with an output of 204 bhp and a torque of 400 Nm relationship that will ensure great performance (acceleration from 0 to 100 kph in just 7.3 seconds) and the xDrive28i engine, a 3-liter 6-cylinder petrol engine.
